pray for Yu Li (if you know her). she is giving her testimony to Jae Hann and pray that God will open up his heart to receive his grace.

pray for RESULTS!!! pray that no matter what results we get, we will glorify God with them.

that will be all for now. if you guys got anything else to pray for, please post it up on the blog (i have add all of you as authors). so see ya in school tomorrow
Hi guys. thanks for participating

Well.. exam is really over already, and i guess we should really thank God for it.

you know how sometimes we dread exams... but coming to think of it, I somehow or rather think it could be a blessing in disguise

the weeks before the finals had been a busy one, so many activities, so many happenings, sometimes i even get so tired that i forget to brush my teeth before going to sleep;)

but then when exams came, i notice a significant change in my lifestyle. since there was no need to worry about stress from YOU GUYS for the time being, i could take the time to reorganize my life while studying sejarah.

I really thank God for this long one month period that he blessed all of us with, that I could use to refocus myself on Him more.

without all the burdens weighing down on my shoulders, I suddenly realise how amazing God is. it is really amazing.

you know sometimes how we get so caught up in all that we do until we forgot to turn to God? i believe the same happened to me. i struggled everyday, trying to do everything by my own strength, trying to achieve everything by myself, how selfish sometimes we can get. and because of that, i grew weary and tired. sometimes, i don't even feel like getting up to go to school.

then when the exams came, I was suddenly DISPLACED from my state of mind. without the trouble of other things CLOGGING up my mind, i suddenly felt.... blank... (i dont know how to describe it)

I believe that God was at work then and now, because he used that opportunity to fill my mind with HIM. I began to realise where I was standing and how I have become. i was made aware of how frail we humans are, but most importantly how great GOD is.

MAtthew 6:33, ' But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all this things will be given to you as well'

I believe that passage struck deep in me. and that was the most amazing thing of my life, not good marks, not successful ventures, but realising the beauty of God. thank GOD for his grace

I pray continuously that God will bless all of us, that we would not be bounded by worldly things, but be reminded of HIM each day.

remember the last prayer request I made, well, i believe GOd answered it in the most amazing way possible.

My grandmother was really sick, and my family didnt know what to do but pray. She was really suffering. but God blessed her and receive her back into his fold last thursday. according to my mother who was at her death bed, grandma was at total peace when she breathe her last. suffering was gone from her eyes and she laid there peacefully. miraculousy, her swellings even subsided. as my mum puts it, it was like God has taken away all her sufferings. and I thank God for that.

Praise GOd

Prayer Blog

hi, guys.

Yay...exams is over, well almost over and holidays have arrived. now, i can enjoy good sleep, good food, TV... yay!!!!!!!

well, back to the main point, as you all know, prayer is a very important thing in very Christian's life. Through prayer, the world can be moved, through prayer people are miraculously healed of their lifelong illness, and lost people are saved through His loving grace.

'Are any among you suffering? they should pray. are any cheerful? they should sing songs of praise.' James 5:13

we have been in the prefect board for almost 3 years. and even if you dont want to admit it, we have become a family. thus, i can say that it has become our responsibility (long word) to uphold the board.

We cannot deny the fact that the prefect board is now entering a transition period. looking at the performance of our duties, it has already become a fact that we need to buck up...

thus, i feel that it is important that we, partly as prefects, but mostly as children of God, revamp our family for the better. surely, some prefects may carry a non-chalant attitude towards the prefect board, seeing that no one else cares. but we as Christians cannot do so. you see, God did not put us here by accident, but all of us must realize that we have an important purpose in being a prefect. God also instructs us that we should pray for kings and rulers that we may live peaceably (it's in the Bible, but i dont know where). so, instead of just criticising Pn Joyce, Ray Aun, Wan Jin and ME, we should in fact be in feverent prayer so that one day when you are talking to your cucu cicit, you can say that you have been in a great prefect team and you had made good use of your time.

after saying all these things (i'm sure i dont need to lecture you guys on this), i feel that it is important that we come together to make use of the most powerful weapon in the world, our prayers.
in saying so, i am starting a prayer email, or whatever you want to call it, so that we may come together to pray for the board and each other without the limits of place and time boundaries.

ok...so how can all of you participate in the prayer email? well, it's fairly simple. if there is any problems that any of you guys face, or you think the prefect board should seek to improve in, then just send me a short email, or call me. Then at regular intervals, maybe once a week or so, i (or any kind souls who are willing to help me) will send a round of email to each and everyone of you informing you guys about the things to pray for. Simple right?

Well, what can you send me? anything concerning yourself, your family, friends and even the prefect board. the beauty of it is, that we all can be in prayer together, no matter how far apart we are. for example, i will send an email to you guys stating that we should come into prayer at 10 o'clock on so and so date. thus, at such a specific time, all of us can pray together in our own places. amazing right? furthermore, if there is a need to gather together to pray in school, all of us can be informed through the prayer email of the time and venue.

this is just the first draft, and being the techo-illiterate that i am, i only know how to use the email. so, if any of you go better ideas on how this can be done, feel free to tell me. perhaps there is some sort of online programme that we can post our prayer requests on.... i think there is one such thing right? what do you call it again? a brog? or a Bron? i forgot which one. maybe we can start that thingy and all of us can post things directly onto it.

so, just to start this off, i have some prayer requests to make.

  1. the master system is clearly facing a serious problem as many prefects do not go for duty, so pray that we can think of a better solution to solve this problem.
  2. Pray for good results, especially add maths and the sciences, that we may give glory to God through our results.
  3. Pray also for my grandmother, she is really sick now. Pray that God will give her the comfort she needs
  4. also, pray for Tian Yoon, Alicia Chung, and Soh Zhi Min (if you guys know them). i'm praying hard that they will come to know Christ and i plan to invite them for my youth camp. pray that God will open up their hearts to know Him.
by the way, through the prayer email, you guys can also give thanks to God for what he has done and we can share the joy with you.
once again, if there are any prayer requests among you, feel free to email or call me about it.

this may seem small and insignificant, but God is never small or insignificant. All things are made possible through Him.

PS: there are some Christian prefects who i may not identify, so if you see their names missing from the list, please feel free to send this email to them.

Regards,
Hong Ken
